Parmesan Bread Bites Ingredients
What I love about this recipe is that the ingredients are easy to find. The ingredients are very common and you probably already have them at home. However, you can stop by your local grocery store if you don’t.
Here are the ingredients we will use today:
- Pizza Dough: I made my favorite homemade pizza dough recipe for these bread bites. However, you can use store-bought pizza dough if you’re crunched for time.
- Melted Butter: Who doesn’t love butter?!
- Garlic: Mince two garlic cloves or use garlic powder.
- Italian Seasoning: I love using Italian seasoning because it already has all the seasoning we need. I use this in my Subway Italian Bread Copycat Recipe.
- Parmesan Cheese: I used freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano. I suggest you treat yourself and do the same! However, you can use whichever parmesan cheese you have.
- Salt: Everything needs salt. Salt is a flavor enhancer.
Overview: Domino’s Parmesan Bread Bites Recipe
This parmesan cheese bites recipe is VERY easy to make. Even if you don’t bake bread often, I am fully confident that you can make this at home.

All this bread bites recipe takes are a few simple steps:
Step 1: Make The Bread Bites Dough
Make The Dough And Let It Rise: I’ve included the steps to make my favorite pizza dough in the printable recipe card. If you are crunched for time, you can use store-bought dough (make sure it is at room temperature if you are using refrigerated pizza dough). The dough ball should weigh 507 grams or 17.5 ounces.
Step 2: Shape The Bread Bites
Shape The Dough: Shape into logs and cut into 1-inch pieces. Check out my Bread Bites Recipe YouTube Video on how to shape and cut the dough. You can make these however big or small.
Step 3: Make The Garlic Butter
Make The Garlic Butter: Microwave the butter then add the Italian seasoning, garlic, and salt!
Step 4: Bake The Parmesan Bread Bites
Bake Then Eat: Brush bread bites with butter, sprinkle with parmesan cheese, and bake for 15-18 minutes until lightly golden brown. Brush with butter again and then enjoy!
Tips For Success:
- Let The Dough Rise After Cutting and Shaping: The bread bites should rise and grow in size before baking! Be PATIENT! If you don’t wait and bake too soon, you’ll end up with very dense bread bites. Sadly, this happens to a lot of bakers both beginners and experienced.
- Bake until LIGHTLY golden brown: Take these out of the oven once they are a light golden brown. If you bake them for longer than needed, the bread bites will become hard.
- Brush butter before and after baking: Brushing the garlic bread bites twice gives it a ton of flavor.
What To Serve With Parmesan Bread Bites
Although these delicious bread bites are perfectly served without any sauce or dips (I enjoy eating them plain), they are great with a bowl of marinara sauce or pizza sauce for dunking. They are also delicious with extra virgin olive oil.
Another option is to make extra garlic butter to dip the bites in.
You can serve these delicious parmesan bread bites as an appetizer or as a side dish. They go perfectly well with pasta, pizzas, spaghetti, lasagna, and anything that you would traditionally serve with garlic bread.

Ingredients
Pizza Dough (You can use storebought pizza dough that weighs 500 grams or 17.5 ounces)
- ¾ Cup plus 1 Tablespoon (194 g) Warm Water 194 grams at around 110°F
- ½ Teaspoon (0.5 Teaspoon) Yeast 1.5 grams
- 1 teaspoon (1 teaspoon) Granulated Sugar 4 grams
- 2 ½ Cups (300 g) All-Purpose Flour 300 grams
- 1 ½ Teaspoons (1.5 Teaspoons) Salt 9 grams
For The Seasoning
- ¼ Cup (57 g) Melted Butter 57 grams
- 2 Cloves (2 Cloves) Minced Garlic or ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon (1 teaspoon) Italian Seasoning
- ½ Teaspoon (0.5 Teaspoon) Salt
- ¼ Cup (25 g) Parmesan Cheese freshly grated
Instructions
- Combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar in a large mixing bowl (or stand mixer bowl). Let the mixture sit for five minutes until the yeast is foamy.
- Knead: Add the flour and salt. Knead on medium-low for five minutes. (Knead for 10 minutes if you knead the dough by hand). Place the dough in an oiled container and cover for one hour or until the dough has doubled.
- Shape The Dough: On a lightly floured surface, divide the pizza dough into fourths. Then, roll each piece into a long rope shape. It should be about 1 inch thick. Then, using a knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough into 1-inch bite-sized pieces. You can cut the bread bites into whichever size your heart desires. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover and let rise for 45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
- Make The Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt.
- Bake: Once the dough has risen for 45 minutes, brush each bread bite with the garlic butter mixture. Then, sprinkle parmesan cheese on top. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the bread bites are lightly golden.
- Brush garlic butter again: Remove the bread bites from the oven. Then, brush each piece with garlic butter (you can microwave it for 10 seconds if it has solidified).
- Serve with marinara sauce and enjoy!

Notes
- Make Ahead of Time: Crunched for time? You can make the dough the night before and refrigerate. Simply knead, cover, then place in the fridge. The next day, let the dough sit on your kitchen counter until it is at room temperature. Then, continue the recipe.
- Storing: Place the bread bites in an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator. It will last in the refrigerator for up to five days. To store it for longer, place it in the freezer.
- Bread Bites Sizing: Check out the video on the blog post to see how I shaped these parmesan cheese bread bites. You can make these however big or small your heart desires! They don’t have to be 1 inch big. If you want them bigger, they’ll need to bake for a couple of minutes longer.
- Rising Time: Make sure that the dough has risen properly. It must double during the first rise and second rise (after shaping). Read my Baking With Yeast guide for an in-depth tutorial on how to bake bread.
- Garlic Butter: Feel free to add more seasonings to the garlic butter. If you want a bit of spice, add in some crushed red pepper flakes.
